This is why Otsuka Foods has declared its commitment to provide work environments where all employees can feel motivated, and to implement initiatives to maintain and improve employee health.
The Otsuka Foods Health Promotion Declaration was made by then-President Sadanobu Tobe in January 2018. In March 2023, with the appointment of Goro Ikeuchi as his successor, the company issued a new health declaration confirming the company’s approach to health promotion. Together with the company’s occupational physicians and the Otsuka Pharmaceutical Health Insurance Association, the president is responsible for promoting efforts to maintain and improve the physical and mental health of Otsuka Foods employees.

Based on these corporate philosophies, the maintenance and promotion of employee health is a key management priority for the Otsuka group and Otsuka Foods.
Otsuka Foods regards smoking cessation as a priority health issue, and is taking various measures to reduce the percentage of employees who smoke.

To help maintain the health of employees, occupational physicians check the results of health examinations and take appropriate measures such as encouraging employees to get follow-up exams when needed. In collaboration with the Otsuka Pharmaceutical Health Insurance Association, we are implementing smoking cessation programs and walking campaigns. We also encourage and support employees over the age of 30 to undergo detailed health examination and testing.

Otsuka Foods believes that it is vital for all employees to enjoy good health. We offer health seminars and smoking cessation programs led by occupational physicians to help employees properly understand their personal health situations and to prevent illness and promote health.
